Talenti sobreto and gelato

Normally I get the well known ice cream brands like haagan dazs, breyers, and turkey hill, but I was tired of eating the same old flavors. I needed something new and different. I have passed this brand for at least one year straight. I thought this was a store made brand, and usually store made brands are tasteless, low quality or just plain bad. So I was skeptical very about this brand.

I picked up the Alphonso Mango sobretto. I figured how bad could sobret be. I was wrong. It was excellent. It was smooth, easy on the palette and it wasn't thick. Even sorbet can be thick on the tongue and unwanted after awhile. I ended up eating half of the container. Which is wonderfully packed. It has a clear container, a screw top with a plastic wrap for safety. It is a whole 16oz. Its added benefits is that its great for vegan, and vegetarians. Its gluten free, fat free, dairy free, kosher and more.

My problem with "healthy" food is that it mostly taste bad and has tons of chemicals to make up for the lack of sugar, meat or flavor that the "unhealthy" foods give you. But this still has tons of flavor, quality, texture and taste. You are not missing anything.

I've also tried the Black cherry and the Caribbean coconut which is wonderful as well. I am extremely happy with this brand. The only down side is the price. $4.99 for 16oz. But if you compare it to haagan dazs or Ben and Jerry's, you are getting more for your money. 2-4 more ounces and its healthier with less calories, fat, sodium, sugar and you can use the container for something else later. So your recycling too.

I recommend it. I recommend it. I recommend it.

Enjoy!
