Ed's Lobster Bar

Market Order
Ed's Lobster Bar satisfies your lunchtime demand

All year long, Wall Street's fluctuated between bull and bear markets.

But this summer, the Financial District embraces a new, more luxurious direction: The Lobster Market.

In a part of town where most refuges are tax shelters, there is perhaps no more blissful sanctuary than downing meaty lobster rolls by lapping waters.
Chill by the Hudson in the sunshine, young captain, at the Ed's Lobster Bar kiosk, now open as part of the summer pop-up offerings outside the WFC Winter Garden Plaza.

Run the numbers on this: 6 oz. overstuffed rolls with chunky lobster salad teeming over the sides for $27, or 3 oz. sandwiches for $15.

The lobster burger ($18) is a smooth and balanced alternative for all your crustacean needs, while peekytoe crab in a hot buttered bun has just the right amount of spice.

There's no beer served here, but the Quality Burger kiosk a few feet away has Bud, and P.J. Clarke's at the north end of the plaza has a finely acceptable list of brews, along with sunny outdoor tables of its own.

By summer's end, don't be surprised if Ed beats Zuckerberg to the IPO line.
